Dillon Sams Scholarship Award
We recently presented a new award to a deserving student in the community. I want to add information about this award to our website. Below is the information:
The Dillon Sams Community Impact & Empowerment Award
The Dillon Sams Community Impact & Empowerment Award was created to honor a life that continues to inspire transformation, service, and purpose throughout our community. Dillon Sams was more than a name, he was a movement. A young man who made a powerful decision to change the trajectory of his life, Dillon committed himself to growth, to uplifting others, and to leaving every space better than he found it. His passion for mentoring youth, supporting the elderly, and showing compassion to those experiencing homelessness, became a reflection of who he was at his core, a servant leader driven by impact. Though Dillon is no longer with us, his legacy lives on through this award. It was established not only to remember him, but to continue the work he so passionately believed in empowering individuals who demonstrate the same heart for service, growth, and community transformation. Each year, this award recognizes a high school student who embodies Dillon’s spirit, someone who leads with purpose, excels academically, and shows a deep commitment to serving others.
2026 Recipient: Zoe Gregoire This year, we are proud to honor Zoe Gregoire as the recipient of the Dillon Sams Community Impact & Empowerment Award. Zoe represents the very essence of what this award stands for. With an impressive academic record, including a 3.8 GPA and enrollment in Advanced Placement and Honors courses such as AP English Language Arts, AP Psychology, and Honors Chemistry with plans to further her academic journey through dual enrollment Zoe has demonstrated a commitment to excellence in the classroom. But what truly sets her apart is her dedication beyond academics. Zoe is actively involved in multiple organizations, including HOSA, basketball, cheerleading, and service-based clubs, where she consistently shows leadership, teamwork, and a passion for growth. Her aspiration to become a dermatologist reflects not only ambition, but a desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Through her involvement with League of Brawn and her commitment to community service, Zoe has already begun creating an impact that mirrors Dillon’s legacy, one rooted in compassion, discipline, and purpose. She is a shining example of what it means to be empowered to inspire and united to transform.
